Ben Schumaker was a graduate student at the University of Wisconsin when he created the Memory Project for kids who have been orphaned and disadvantaged. Since the kids don't have personal belongings from their childhood like photographs of themselves or baby pictures, high school students paint their portraits. This is such a magical project.
