Weekend Walk Block Party on Grand Street

Arts & Dreams joined the Grand Street Weekend Walk Block Party on July 21 to make empowering paintings with residents of Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Local artists made paintings that feel good to look at -- vibrant creations of things and people they love.

One of our favorite things is when parents paint with their children. It is simply heartwarming.

We also especially love seeing kids make awesome art about their families.

The Grand Street Business Improvement District set up a large canvas on a construction wall and posed the question: "How does your community look to you?"

Mira: Que bonita! How beautiful are the painted responses?

We had a lot of fun meeting new friends and helping the art emerge. Thank you, Matt Green, for all your help. Thank you, Grand Street BID and The Human Impacts Institute for inviting us to join the party. See you in the streets!
